Solstice Project Speed Up Efforts
For 2018, the US Department of Energy increased the minimum efficiency
requirements for split systems above 65kBtu. The North America Unitary team’s
Solstice project successfully designed and launched the Odyssey product platform
to comply with 2018 DOE requirements, improve product quality, and enhance
our competitive position in the market.
Trane Unitary Odyssey product line maintained business at 274 million dollors 36
month revenue with 146 million dollors contribution margin, up to 53.3%.
In reliability aspect, the product ICQ DPPM decreased 13% and Warranty cost
reduced 11%
Innovation DNA is embeded throughout development process all time. The new
Trane compressors were introduced to improve product competitive and
differentiate our product in market.
