With a compact and light design, the installation and removal of TCL Window air
conditioners in many areas of your home are easy. Let us show you how!
Please take out the unit and parts from the carton and familiarize yourself with them
before installation.
Step 1: Use four included 3/8 inch screws to fasten the top mounting rail to the unit.
Step 2: Fasten the accordion styled window panel expander pieces to the unit. Pull the
leading edge of them to its maximum width. Then slide the panel expanders into the
grooved notches (slide downward) on the sides of the air conditioner and make sure
they are inserted into the metal rails tightly. Repeat the process for the other side.
Step 3: Carefully place the window air conditioner into the window where it is to be
installed. close the window securely. The air conditioner should be slightly tilted to
the outside area to allow water to drain out from the unit.
Step 4: Fasten the window air conditioner to the window frame using the included
1/2 inch screws. Fasten each of the panel extenders (Left and Right) to the unit, using
a 1/2 inch screw. You may need to drill a pilot hole in the window frame to fasten the
screws to the window sash.
Step 5 : Attach the frame locks between the panel extender and window sill and fasten
them together with an included 3/4 inch locking screw. Repeat for each side. You
may need to pre-drill pilot holes to complete this step.
Step 6: Attach a sash lock between the top of the sliding window andwindow frame
using an included 3/4 inch screw to secure the window closed.
Step 7:To prevent air or other small objects from entering, insert the cut sash seal
(included) to the width or gaps in the windows.
Step 8: Remove the plastic from the cord and plug the unit into a 15 A, 115 V
grounded receptacle.
Next, lets show you how to operate your TCL Air Conditioner.
1.Use the power button to turn on and off the air conditioner.
2.Press the COOL button to enter COOL mode and position the 8 way direction air
vents for your comfort.
3. Use the "∧”and "V” buttons on the control panel and remote control to increase or
decrease the desired temperature. The temperature range of the is 61F to 88F or 16C
to 31.
4.Press the FAN SPEED button to choose the fan speed options. You can choose Hi,
Med, Lo or auto speed in COOL mode and Hi, Med, or Lo in FAN mode.
5.To operate the Fan mode only, press the Mode button until the light beside the
Fan mode is illuminated.
6.In AUTO mode, the fan speed, the mode of operation (COOL, DRY or FAN) and
the temperature are all set automatically according to the room temperature.
7.To program the unit to automatically turn on/off, press the “TIMER” button when
the unit is off/on. Press “UP” or “DOWN” button to change the set time, which is up
to 24 hours. Each press will change the time period by 1 hour.
8.When the unit is in ECO mode, the unit will turn off/on once the room is 3.5℉
(2 ℃) lower/higher than the set temperature.
9.To use the Sleep function, press the SLEEP button and the Sleep Light will turn on.
After approximately 10 seconds then all of the display lights will turn off.

In SLEEP mode, the air conditioner will automatically adjust the temperature and fan
speed to make the room more comfortable during the night.
The set temperature will automatically rise by 1-2 degrees every 30-60 minutes and at
most change six times until the set temperature is 82.4F.
Display: By pressing the DISPLAY button, it will turn all of the lights on the LED
display panel off or on.
The removable air filter should be cleaned every month to ensure the unit operates
efficiently. The filter can be removed by pulling down on the indents of the filter door
on the front of the unit. Wash in warm soapy water and let dry before reinstalling.
When the season is over or when the unit will not be used for an extended period of
time , carefully remove the unit from the window following the instruction in the
owners manual. Wipe the unit down, clean the air filter and store all parts and the
window air conditioning unit using the original box.
With these simple steps to install, remove and maintain your unit, you should get
